Adventures of a Student Teacher

Hi!  My name is Sydney Hertogs, and I am using this website to blog all about my student teaching experiences!  A little about me, I am from  Naperville, IL and am a senior at Carthage College.  I double major in Elementary Education and Cross Categorical Special Education.  For my last semester, I am spending 18 weeks in two different placements.  My first placement, and 9 weeks, is at KTEC East in a second grade classroom with Melinda Palmer.  My second placement, and 9 weeks, is at Mahone Middle School working with the Cross Categorical Special Education teacher, Shawn Verborg, in the Liberty House.  I am so excited to share my experiences with you and keep you updated on the daily life of a Student Teacher!
